Save Pakistan

Asalaamu-Alykum

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan, has been named a failed state time and time again, although there are many reasons for this, one of the major reasons of this is the failure of the system to maintain checks and balances. The system of checks and balances has always been weak, whoever was in power had always wanted complete control. This has even lead to killing of various leaders, and handful of coups that have poisoned the nations history. Another act of this nature that seeks to have absolute power is the making. Another force is trying to get this corrupting-in-nature absolute power.

Currently in Pakistan the government is such that the President belongs to Pakistan Muslim League(Quaid), the Parliament is controlled bu Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Muslim League(Nawaz). the only thing currently out of balance is the situation of the supreme courts judges, which is not the topic of discussion here. This balance is healthy in nature for the Pakistani public if it is maintained and used to work the betterment of the common-person, but PPP's co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari seeks to throw this balance--that we have finally achieved-- out the window for personal gains. The preservation of this balance is a critical ingredient for Pakistan's future. In the current situation President Musharraf's powers are being kept in close check but if he is removed the new President will be from the PPP, which also controls the Parliament thus destroying the balance.

If we want to protect Pakistan, we must sign this petition and let the parliament know what out stance on this is.

Orion's Belt could be on the verge of destruction

Asalaamu-Alykum

Today's post is a little off-topic, it deals with Astronomy. From an unconfirmed source I have recently come to learn that one of the three stars in the Orion's belt has exploded, but since it takes years for the light of the explosion to get us, it will be a short while before we realize that it has been destroyed. The source believes that the star is far away from us they will be in any harm, but we are close enough to observe the explosion.

The source is in the process of sharing these finding with his/her colleagues from many of the world renowned universities. The scientist who made this discovery wants to confirm this with his colleagues before he releases it to the mainstream media. Once the light the explosion reaches us it will be about the same brightness as the moon.

I will try to get more on this matter and keep all updated on this matter, just remember you saw it first on Pakstrategy.

What does PPP/PML know about Democracy?

Asalaamu-Alykum

Pakistan People's Party, especially Asif Ali Zardari has been making pubic statements about his dedication to democracy. On Multiple occasions he has made public comments on how he wants to restore democracy. PPP aren't the only ones who have been making such statements, Pakistan Muslim League, including Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif have been making statements that they will not rest in peace until the democratic judges are restored, and a Democratic President has been elected. How much truth is there in these statements and are these statements made out of arrogance to remove someone that took them out of power.

Let us take a look at the facts, first of all how much respect does either of these parties have for democracy, well, not enough to implement democracy into their own parties, Nawaz Sharif, and Shahbaz Sharif have been exchanging the presidency for last 15-years. I'm sure they have other capable leaders in the party that have fresh and different idea about where to take the party, but why aren't they given a chance. Same With PPP, after the unfortunate assassination of Benazir Bhutto, instead of nominating Makhdoom Amin Fahim, the most senior member of the party as the chairman they went chose a 19 year old inexperienced boy, they were no elections in the party, just as a side note when the part was formed by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, as a part of the party creed he wrote"...democracy is our politics...all power to the people", but current PPP has mopped the floor with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's principals. To cause another blow to democracy PPP had all of it's chair-people from the Bhutto family.

How can these two parties talk to us about democracy when they themselves don't even practice it in their own parties, thus both Pakistan Muslim League and Pakistan People's Party are the the Munafiq (Hypocrites) Parties. "...God beareth witness that the hypocrites are indeed liars." - (Qur'an 63:1).

Zardari broke ANOTHER big promise

Asalaamu-Alykum

Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the Pakistan People's Party, has recently called his promise to restore the supreme court judges a "political statement"(1), What implication does this has on the future of Pakistan, and what does it show about his personality?

First of all, the title refers to the breaking of Another Promise, Those of you that might not remember, I also criticized him for his famous lack-of-loyalty towards Benazir Bhutto, where he didn't even mourn long enough for a man who's wife has just been murdered--forget mourning for the leader of a nation-- earning the suspicion of being involved in Benazir's Assassination.

Pakistan's supreme court judges were suspended on November 3, 2007 under the P.C.O. and Asif Ali Zardari made a promise to restore them within 3o days of first parliament session. Now he has dubbed this promise as a political statement undermining the the trust of the whole nation. Also sending a message that they should expect him to lie and make false promises only to get votes.

Should such a person be the leader of a party that was founded by the person who wrote the constitution of the country, this proves my original point that today's PPP is not the same PPP that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto founded. Today's
Pakistan People’s Party cares neither about Pakistan nor about its people only about the party. Asif Ali Zardari is a lier, a cheat and will do anything for his personal gains maybe those charges of corruption against him were true?

Gwadar, Can we handle it?

Asalaamu-Alykum

With Gwadar port almost ready, and it's anticipated that first ship will anchor there on March 15(1), Pakistan is set to embark upon another journey. A journey that many believe will bring good fortunes, and success to Pakistan, but when I see Gwadar, I see a totally different story. I not only sees promises of success that control of Straits of Hormuz will bring our beloved nation, but I also see it as a mishap just waiting to happen.

Gaining control of such a popular route of trade, through which 40% of the world oil is transported(2) will give Pakistan a a great deal of power, and, with great power comes great responsibility. Even more important than that great responsibility is the enemies that we can make or have made.

These "enemies" or should I say enemy, is India, Same India that broke Pakistan in 1971 under similar conditions. East Pakistan was contributing a lot of resources to federal government but was deprived of proper royalties. India silently ignited the instability which led to the breaking of Pakistan and the birth of Bangladesh.

Now India are starting a similar outburst of instability in Baluchistan, the outcry from the Baluchi public brings backs the memories of the tragic events of 1971. It is the same struggle just 40 years later and in the opposite corner of Pakistan. Indian Military has already been expressing concerns over consequences that Gwadar port can have o India, Admiral Sureesh Mehta, Indian Naval chief said "Gwadar, being bulit in Baluchistan coast, would enable Pakistan take control over the world energy jugular and interdiction of Indian tankers"

This time around India not only has the local political instability, but also a constant threat from vulnerability of the security situation in Pakistan. Theoretically speaking It would not be hard for India (assuming they already haven't done so) to hire suicide bombers to threaten the success of ports or the web of highways and railroads that will accompany the port.

In order to make sure Gwadar is big of a success that Pakistan wants it to be, Pakistan needs to settle the disputes of the Baluchi people as soon as possible. Another thing that is mandatory is the security of the ports and the areas surrounding the port, to make sure that the events that took place in Karachi during the 80s do not repeat.

My first Majlis-E-Ashura

Asalaamu-Alykum

Muharran 10th, The day the Karbala Tragedy took place, The day grandsons of Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) were martyred, is a day which has meant somewhere from little to nothing to me. In the years past, I'd always treated this day no different than any other day. The this year, Muharram 10, 1429, It was different i was invited to a Majlis-E-Ahusra, by one of my Shia friends. Where they had a very neutral presentation prepared to commemorate the events that took place 1368 years ago in the hot desserts of Karbala.

Before attending the Majlis I was playing cricket, and when I came home I got ready and went over to the place the Majlis was taking place. I went there and finally had some water sine I was nearly dehydrated and very thirsty from playing cricket. After drinking the water I was relaxed and satisfied. Soon after that the presentation began and went through what Imam Hussain(AS) and his 72 companion went through. At the end I realized that I was just deprived of water for about an hour or so on a cool evening and what was I going through and I finally realized what the camp of Hussain(AS) went through that day. I started to ask myself why did he go through this to defend the religion of Islam.

After realizing this I was inspired, It caused me to bring a chance into my life. I asked myself if they can give their life for the religion that they loved so much, then why can't I do thing in my life that'll make Islam look better? Instead of just roaming around uselessly with friends why don't I do something with my life that'll make me become better than I already am. I've always wanted to have the greatest success in my life, but up until now It was for my own sake, my personal gain. After that I changed myself that now I will work harder than ever before not because of my personal worldly gains, but to give Islam a better image, Inshallah when people will look at me they won't see me, They'll See a Muslim, a Follower of Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H). They will not complement me that, "wow, 'so and so' is so successful" but they'll say "Wow, the followers of Prophet Muhammad have Success in this life and in the after-life."

I pray you will see the same light I did, either from this article or from another source. So we can make the Shahadat of not only Imam Hussain(A.S) but also of all the other that gave their life for Islam meaningful.

Benazir Bhutto, Shaheed???

Asalaamu-Alykum

After the assassination of Pakistan's Ex-Premier Benazir Bhutto, the media as well as the political party of which she was the leader of, Pakistan People' Party, have give her the title of shaheed. Since then she has been referred to as Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. Most people out of respect or just being blind supporters of Benazir Bhutto and/or the PPPP have accepted the title without giving it much thought, the meaning behind the title and what it means.

Shaheed, literally is an Arabic words meaning witness, but in Islam it refers to a person who has lost his/her life wither during a war for Islam or lost his life while he was out doing something for Allah. Benazir Bhutto lost her life while she was campaigning for herself to win the seat of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, from which she was removed twice for corruption.

keeping those facts in mind the only way she can be called a Shaheed is if she had cleansed herself from the alleged corruption, which was the cause for her exile by 3 different Pakistani Presidents. In addition to being purified from corruption, her only goal in running for the Prime Minister of Pakistan must've been to please Allah. If she had satisfied both of these condition, then and only then is she a shaheed. Did she satisfy these conditions? Is she a shaheed? The judge of that shall be Allah, and only Allah knows if she is shaheed, and if her supposed Shahadat is accepted.
