Pakistan??? People's??? Party!

Asalaamu-Alykum

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, was appointed the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party. Decisions like this make you wonder If Pakistan’s People Party is really a people Party of a Bhutto Party. Appointment of Bilawal as the chairman of party means that there is no one more capable of leading the party than a 19 year old boy, who has spent most of his life overseas, away from Pakistan, surrounded by amenities of luxury that most Pakistani people can’t even imagine. They only reason he has been appointed the chairman of the party is to exploit the name of the Bhutto.

But, Little do they know that Bhutto is not Bhutto is not Bhutto, One Bhutto is not the same as another Bhutto. On one spectrum we have Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and other Bhutto’s can’t even measure up to qualities of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a leader of Pakistan, founder of Pakistan People’s Party and when he said People’s Party he meant People’s Party. Despite having air conditioned residences in England and other parts of the world, he would Bring his Daughter Pinky, A.K.A. Benazir Bhutto, to the Hot Summers of Pakistan to make she feels the same the heat that Pakistani People feel so they can actually understand the people’s point of view thus making her a better leader of Pakistan PEOPLE’S Party. While Benazir spent most of her life outside of Pakistan weather living in Father’s Mansions or Exile.

Using of Bhutto name for political purposes righter the death of the daughter of seconds greatest leader of Pakistan, (First being Quaid-E-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah), is third class and degraded move my Pakistan People Party. Another thing that Pakistan People’s Party has done that shows their seriousness towards their word to the Nation is when they said that we’ll mourn for 40 days and during that period all campaigning will be stopped, but they forgot about that decision even before the 4th day was up. Pakistan People’s Party could has stopped the havoc that was going on the nation, by just going public and advising people that destruction of property is bad for Pakistan, Instead they decided to use the public rage to their advantage even if it meant Pakistan suffering a huge loss. I guess Pakistan People’s Party cares neither about Pakistan nor about its people only about the party.

P.S. I did not mean to speak ill of dead not bad mouth Benazir, but only expose the actions of the Pakistan People's Party that may have been overlooked by Pakistanis affected by the sudden and tragic loss of Benazir Bhutto.

Hum Zinda Qaum Hain

Asalaamu-Alykum

The news of Emergency in Pakistan spread like wildfire, media was on it in no time, and criticisms for a dime a dozen. Even people of Pakistan were doubting Pakistan. Questions like, Are we a failed state? Was Pakistan a blunder? Will we ever as free and democratic like the U.S.A.? were buzzing in the ears and hearts of millions of Pakistanis. What a lot of people didn't know was that legislatures like that of P.C.O. in Pakistan have been passed in other countries to suspend rights of human being that were basic and granted under Constitution of the country. Most notable and famous incident of such was the USA Patrioct Act. Patriot Act went into effect about a month after the tragedy of September 11, 2001.

The Patriot Act suspended the basic rights of the human being living in USA granted to them. These rights included, the right to a speedy trial, the purpose of which was to limit the amount of time government can hold you in prison without pressing charges against you. The Act also suspended the right of privacy of citizens, after its effect the Patriot Act allowed government to tap you phones, read E-Mails and even access to your financial records. The list of infringements on human rights that the Patriot Act is guilty of just goes on and on, and I'm sure If you Google it you will find a lot more example of this.

How big of a deal was the Patriot Act? Did these so-called "democratic" leader do anything about it? Did the lawyers or judges protested against it? Well, not really, or should I say, not at all. As Pakistani we stood up to this injustice, and we showed the world that we really are a successful and a live state. Now go ahead a take a moment to sing "Hum Zinda Qaum hain..."

Since you are now done celebrating, if we seem to know a lot more about freedom and free speach, do you think maybe we should go conquer the western hemisphere and "liberate them," Well that's something to think about.

Emergecny That Destroyed Musharraf.

Asalaamu-Alykum

As most of you may already that Gen. Pervez Musharraf has declared an emeregency rule over the nation, but some you may not be aware of its consequences for Pakistan and Gen. Pervez Musharraf.

First of all let's take a look at Musharraf and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz, but mostly the General. He has come on Television and other versions of media and has said over and over again that he's doing this for Pakistan, and Pakistan needs this and how he's helped Pakistan and his very famous buzzwords "adlia azad hay"(Judiciary is Independent) and "Media ko Azadi hai" (Media is Free and Independent), well by declaring emergency he has successfully taken away both. All private news channels have been taken off the air, and now even the supreme court can be asked to take fresh oaths.

Just to give you an idea for how long these two intend to keep lying to to Pakistan, and who much lies they expect Pakistani people to believe is that less than a day before imposing emergency Pakistani Prime minister publicly rejected all speculations of imposing emergency.

Gen. Pervez Musharraf, who is not yet given a reason for declaring emergency, has only one reason to declare emergency, so he can save his seat of power and remain President as supreme court can still kick him out by declaring his candidacy illegal.

By imposing martial law, Gen. Pervez Musharraf has shot himself in the foot, as now he may lose most, if not all of his supporters. As he has clearly gone against all of the promises that he has made to the nation, and even some of his soldiers are refusing to listen to him, according to associated press "Dozens of paramilitary troops defect in northwest Pakistan saying they do not want to fight their Muslim brothers" now General is not losing control over his nation (civilians) but also losing control over his army soldiers this marks a downfall for Musharraf and his day are limited, either through the hands of an assassin or at the hands of supreme court justice. Either way Inshaalah Pakistan will prevail, Aameen.

Jinnah House

salaamu-Alykum,

A white mansion in mumbai, where the founder of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah lived, worth by some estimated around USD 15 million, has been in the news for quite some time now. Pakistan, India and Jinnah's dosowned daughter Dina Wadia has claimed it.

Dina Wadia, who wants this property for herself has filed claims for the house which Indian government has rejected citing that Muhammad Ali Jinnah clearly willed the house to his sister Fatima Jinnah, Who died in 1967 and she did not have any children.

Pakistan, who has also claimed the Jinnah House for sentimental purposes, want the house so that it can be turned into a consulate. Jinnah after the partition became the Governer General of Pakistan and left the mansion. After leaving the mansion he requested that his house be turned into a consulate, since he passed away only about a year after the partition he deal was never finalized .

India, who claims that the property belonged to Fatima Jinnah, and since she passed away in 1963 and did not leave a living will the house is considered abandoned and becomes property of the government.

Jinah also in his will states that if upon his sister death she did not have any children then his estate will be split between Alighar (sic) University, Islamic College in Peshawar and the Sindh Madressa in Karachi, All these facts in mind the solution to this generation old problem is that I believe will make all happy, all except for Quaid's disowned daughter. I think the house should be turned into a Pakistani Consulate and Pakistan should pay a rent that should be split between Alighar (sic) University, Islamic College in Peshawar and the Sindh Madressa in Karachi evenly or If Pakistan prefers to buy the place then they must pay a fair market value for the house and the revenue should be split between the universities too. India turning the house over to Pakistan will open new gates of friendship between the two nations, and as for Dina who left her father for Neville Wadia, and was disowned by her father should not be given his house that he loved so much.

"President" Musharraf???

Asalaamu-Alykum,

On October 6, 2007, General Prevez Musharraf was elected the President of Pakistan, but most of the things in Pakistani Politics his victory was not free of any conflicts, so therefore let us take part in conflict and express out views.

First of all let take a deeper look at the word "President", it comes from latin roots prae- and -sedere, which mean "before" and "to sit" respectively. Originally the term "President" was used for a designated officer that sat before a debate or other gathering to make sure that the the proceedings were according to the rules and regulations, and many times to avoid any bias the President wasn't even allowed to vote on issues that the council would be discussing. This was done to make sure that there is no conflict of interest, and President's only job is to observe the rules and make sure they are adhered to.

Let us also ponder upon the concept of democracy, where power is distributed to many individuals and entities to make sure that they system of checks and balances is maintained. If any one individual hold more than one position, or has too much influence the balance is disrupted and democracy is destroyed.

How can General Pervez Musharraf, become President and reside before the Government of Pakistan to make sure that the rules of Constitution are followed, when he, himself, came into power violating these rules. How can he be the leader of a Democracy and maintain a system of checks and balances when he, himself, destroyed the system by holding multiple powerful positions and is known for influencing and forcing the decisions of those that are suppose to keep him in check.

This could mark the Rising of Islam

Asalaamu-Alykum,

Recently e-dinar has launched a new program through which Muslims can Purchase the Islam Dirham and the Islamic Dinar. The Islamic Currency Shop now sells Dirhams and Dinars, even though as of know they will only be used for collecting purposes and for trading of gold, but this is a mileston, Next step is to make them legal tender.

Economy is a main factor has made and broken many nations over time, I believe the re-introduction of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) economical system, the Islamic Dirham and the Islamic Dinar will mark a revival for Islam.

Inshallah, we will keep going and eventually all the Islamic nations will unite their currencies, and Rise together as one Islamic Democracy/Khilafah.

Heimlich Maneuver for Misbah

Asalaamu-Alykum,

1 run needed from 2 balls Mibah get beaten and tries to get a single and OUT, he chocked, 12 runs needed from 5 balls, Misbah Ul Haq hits a six, nor now 6 needed from four balls and he chokes yet again, but this time pakistan lose the Twenty20 Worldcup final and India prevails. Twice against India Misbah Ul Haq brought the Pakistan neck to neck with India but couldn't put us over the rope. Many of you are wondering should we be appraising Misbah or cursing him? Should he be kept in the team or dropped? If he's kept in the team then what can we do to make sure this doesn't happen again?

Answers are quite simple, Misbah should be appraised for what a good batsman he is, but he is not a Match-Winner. Match-Winning is a quality that can not be taught you have to be born with the nerves of steel, so it is quite rare if Misbah will ever become a Match-Winner. Just because he is not a Match-Winner doesn't mean we should drop him from the team but we can still find a purpose for him, He should be moved up the batting order to No.3, This way if he ever brings us close to victory and chokes again someone else like Shooib Malik, Younis Khan, Muhammad Yousuf, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal or any of our other batsman can come and finish the job.

Well I have confidence that If Pakistan can implement these changes, they can expect to see major changes upcoming in the near future.

PIA, "The best waste of resources"

Asalaamu-Alykum,

Pakistan International Airlines, the the first Asian airline to granted FAA's maintenance approval, the first airline in world to have a scheduled helicopter service, and and PIA was the one to introduce a computer to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan when it installed an IBM1401, and not only that amongst many of the things it is known for is being the first airline that had in-flight movies on international routes. Looking at all these records one easily wonders what happened to PIA? Why did PIA go from being an innovator of idea, and a leader in industry to being in debt Rs. 28 bn?

Well the answer is simple, waste, wasting of resources, wasting money and not managing it well. Most of it comes in the form of having too many employees. PIA with only 42(43 after the delivery of Boeing 777-300ER in 2008) aircrafts flying to 66 destinations have close to 20,000 employees. While Japan Airlines, Asia's biggest airline has 135 aircrafts, 75 additional aircrafts that have been ordered and flies to nearly double, 125 destinations and still only has less than 18,000 employees.

All those employees, you'd think PIA get more work done, but not really. More than half of my experiences with PIA flights have been more than 7 hours late. Even with extra 14,000 employees PIA still can not get http://www.piac.com.pk to work properly, it is inconvenient, tedious, lacks information and I don't think it is ever updated.

There is a simple solution replace, delayer and downsize/expand, First step is to replace top management bring in some fresh minds with fresh ideas so PIA can be industry leader again. Next step delayer remove the different hierarchal positions to make communications faster and more reliable. Last step is downsize/expand, in other words buy more aircrafts to develop new routes to utilize the current good employees while downsizing and getting rid of the least productive employees, and Inshallah Pakistan International Airline will again become an industry leader it was.

E.U. Lifts ban on Eleven PIA Planes

Asalaamu-Alykum,

Pakistan International Airlines, was banned to fly into the European Union, consequentially PIA ended up losing more than Rs. 26.5 Billion. But recently European Union has lifted the ban from 11 additional airplanes.

A report published on July 5, 2007 in the Official Journal of the European Union stated "it is assessed that Pakistan International Airlines should be allowed to operate to the Community[European Union]." Now PIA, in addition to its Boeing 777s will now also be able to fly three of its Boeing 747-300's, each of which can carry 433 passengers, Two Boeing 747-200's, Which are configured to carry 298 passengers each, and Six Airbus 310's, which has the capacity to carry 198 passengers each.

With Pakistan 8* Boeing 777's including four 200-ER's able to hold 329 passengers each, two 200-LR's configured to seat 310 passengers each and two huge 300-ER which can carry 393 passengers per flight, after the completion of the procedures required by European Union Pakistan International Airline will have permission to fly 19 out of its 42 airplanes.

Even though the ban have been lifted it is not sure when PIA will be able to meet certified criteria, and resume its flights to European union. Once they do, it will again provide more competition and thus lower airfares for the customers.

Pakistani economy Compare, Contrast and Analyze.

Asalaamu-Alykum,

I was recently wondering about Pakistan's Economy, so I decided to do a little research and I found some completely obvious and some utterly amazing answers.

Starting out with probably the least surprising is Pakistan's GDP per Capita, which sits at around $2600.00 per person as opposed to India's $3800(~150% of Pakistan's) or U.S.A. $44,000(~1700% of Pakistan's). But surprisingly India's GDP is not only 1.5 fold that of Pakistan but it is also growing at rate that is 139% of Pakistan. Pakistan GDP is growing at about 6.6% while India which is already ahead, is zooming at the rate of 9.2%. Not only India has achieved a greater economic success but it is en route to achieve some more. While America's GDP has reached near saturation and is growing at a mere rate of 3.2%

Another surprising fact is that Pakistan has a lower unemployment rate and poverty rate than India. India's unemployment rate is 7.8% while Pakistan is slightly behind at 6.5%. India has 25% of its population below poverty line while Pakistan has slightly less at 24%. Another major difference is the gini index(measure income inequality) of Pakistan is 41% while India is 32.5%. It means that there is a higher difference between income classes in Pakistan than in India. Pakistan has more rich-poor gradient than India.

Looking at all this you are probably wondering is that a solution to all this, Can Pakistan's Economy ever blossom? Well, the answer is always yes, but How? First of all Pakistan need increase it GDP growth rate, which can be accomplished by one of two ways. First Pakistan needs to increase exports and increase the income from outsourcing. The west has recently gotten a recent urge to outsource it programming and customer service contracts. India took a huge advantage of that and has made a lot of money from it while Pakistan is yet take advantage of it, primarily because India has a literacy rate of 61% while Pakistan only 50% that means India had more educated, English-speaking and unemployed people that Pakistan. But If Pakistan had a lower literacy rate than India therefore it must have a higher labor force, and since Pakistan has a higher gini index means there are a lot of rich people in Pakistan. Rich people+Poor labor force=Factories-->Jobs-->Exportable Goods-->Pakistan Success, Simple equation, basically rich gets richer, the poor get rich.

How do we get these Lazy and Rich people to make factories, simple TAX, if they have money that is not being used, they have to pay luxury-tax on it, any reasonable person will invest his money to make more money rather than give it away.

War against the Islamic Dinar

Asalaamu-Alykum,

A lot of us were excited and praising Allah about the Islamic Dinar, we were sure this Gold-bases Islamic Dinar will blow the baseless Dollar, Amero, Euro, Pound, Yen and everything else away. Why did it stop? Why was its minting halted? When is coming out? When will its minting resume? and Why should I care? are just some of the many unanswered questions that ring in the ears of the enthusiastic Muslims, who were praying were the Islamic Dinar.

To understand the whole phenomena you have know that current currency is controlled by a group of international bankers (e.g. Rothschild, Rockefeller and etc.). Having a baseless currency they basically rule the world as they control its supply therefore its value. We can all imagine that if one controls the currency and money there isn't much that ones doesn't have the control of. The formations of The European Union, The North American Union, The African Union, and The Asian Union are all examples of setting one bank in control of the currency in larger areas, with the goal of uniting the whole world under the control of one ruthless bank in mind.

In their plans of world domination only one thing stands in their way, The Islamic Dinar, because with the introduction of the Islamic Dinar one bank (ruled by a group of bankers) can't just control it's supply or it's value by just printing more or less of it.

In the current times the Muslims have lost most of their Islamic Culture, Values, and History. Everything from education to business has been westernized. Only thing the Muslims are currently and very vaguely known for is oil, even payments for which are made by the baseless paper currency. If the Islamic Dinar becomes the currency of choice in the Islamic world it would surly bring a huge success to the Muslims as our beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said "A time is certainly coming over mankind in which there will be nothing which will be of use, save a dinar and a dirham" ~The Musnad of Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal

Bollywood premier's in Pakistan

Asalaamu-Alykum,

A few months ago President General Pervez Musharraf, lifted the 41 year ban on Indian movies in Pakistan by allowing the premier of the Mughal-E-Azam to be held in Pakistan. The move itself can the center of a controversy, but if he chose to send a message of peace to India by allowing the release of Indian films in Pakistan He could've done it more productively.

Musharraf should've have allowed the Bollywood to release their film in Pakistan and also should've allowed them to shoot some of their films in Pakistan, but conditionally. he should've chosen the conditions wisely enough that Bollywood still would've been interested in released the films in Pakistan as well as the Government of Pakistan along with the film industry of Pakistan would've have benefited from it in great deal.

How could the Government of Pakistan would've benefited from the release of the Indian movies in Pakistan? The answer is a simple three letter word, TAX. Musharraf should've taxed the revenue, not profited, but revenue that Bollywood is going to make is Pakistan. As this way they could've added other expenses later on and have had no effect on the amount of tax they would've received in Pakistan. Tax amount can be as high 50% and Bollywood still have agreed to it. This additional money would've been a Major help to economy of Pakistan, a piece of the World's biggest film industry can mean new roads, more electricity, better food and permanent housing for our beloved Pakistanis that were devastated by the earthquake.

How could Lollywood, the Pakistani film industry have benefited from the lifting of the ban? Well all they had to do was to say that films shot at least 60% in Pakistan would've been received a tax deduction of 30% so if the original Tax was 50% now it's only 35% and any movies shot in Pakistan must involve the local directors, cameramen & etc. Now that is a Win-Win situation. Our film industry get experience, money, credit and advertisement so soon our own Film industry can start competing with them and yielding more profit, and then you can ease up on the taxes and restrictions.

Pakistani/Islamic Currency Can Overtake the US Dollar!

Asalaamu-Alykum,

For those us living in the United States this news might not be so good while for other living in the middle east It can be a hope that predicts a future in which the gold based Islamic Dinar will rule in the markets of world as opposed to baseless US Dollar.

Malaysia in 1997 announcing that It will start minting the Islamic Dinar in 2003, and start using it as the official currency of trade between Islamic countries. In 2003 Mahathir bin Mohammad lost the election and his successor Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the idea was halted. But it's believed that it has been finally launched in Kelantan, a state of Malaysia in late 2006.

What Pakistan can do is start minting the Islamic Dinar and Dirham, It will immediately take out inflation and therefore Mehngai (Uncontrolled rising in the prices of everything due to inflation). Doing this will make the country stable as even gain more value against the Paper-Currencies like the US Dollar.

It is not just a Win-Win case, if Pakistan adopts the Islamic Bi-Metalist currency it will take a lot of power away from the government as they can now no longer just print more money if they need now they have to staring using real ways or making money, like putting duties on the imports and have more stuff to export, but for poor-public it will be like winning the lottery. If Pakistan wants more money they can't just print more gold, so they need to increase amount and value of the goods that they export, therefore creating more factories and jobs that The Islamic Republic of Pakistan needs so greatly. As great as it sounds i doubt that any government will actually support and pursue it because just simply printing money is a lot easier than actually working for money. How many of us would get jobs If we had money printing machines.

I don't know if and when will Pakistan launch and start minting its Islamic Dinars and Dirhams, whenever they chose to do so it will help out the poor. If you are interested in buying Dinars and Dirhams you can buy them from a some of the Emirates of the UAE, notably the Islamic Bank of UAE.

Pakistan Ka Matlab Kya...

Asalaamu-Alykum,

I have monitoring the news lately and it seems that there is a huge amount of political pressure, and negative propaganda against the Islamic Institutions. They are being stereotyped as "extremists", "fundamentalists" and "hypocrites". In return the Islamic leaders are using words like "Hypocrites" and even "Kafir" to refer to the secular parties.

One listening to this mayhem can be easily confused on where the truth lies, what is reality and what is dramatization, but the truth is that both sides have their flaws and both need to learn to compromise.

Current politicians that refer to Islamics groups as "extremists" and are removing Islamic Studies from the curriculum need to realize that Pakistan was formed as a free nation for Muslims, If we had wanted to abolish Islamic Studies we never would wanted our own land. In fact we would have been just as happy in Hindustan the reason we struggled to make Pakistan was because we wanted to live under Islamic law. We still want that and we will always want that. Making Pakistan a secular country is SUICIDE. Any moves made in such direction will always hurt the spirit of Pakistanis and decrease Pakistani Spirit which is a absolute necessity for the success of Pakistan.

On the other hand the "Mullas" need to realize that they can force their views on someone they need to do it with patience and need to lead by example. They need to keep the spirit of Pakistan and the Spirit of Islam alive in them. They need to follow the examples of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah(PBUH). They need to teach their student secular studies as well as Islamic studies. Our religious scholars need to go into every field they need to go into Medicine, Engineering, Politics, Economics and even business. These multi-field scholars need to teach by example, for example. A business man when scheduling business meetings with his colleagues needs remind them to schedule prayer break as well, or when going out to eat with friends he should in modesty remind them of a hadith or two about eating, basically educating passively.

The "Scholars" shouldn't have their own political party instead they should be in each and every party and making working to root out unethical behaviors, so these parties can work on emphasizing what really needs to be done make Pakistan a successful country as opposed to a nation that is struggling to establish whether the principles that it was found upon still apply or not, and surely they do still apply and will always apply.
